Casa Fausta Capaul

Partial Renovation Boutique Hotel, Ladies Room and a new Hotel Bar
Casa Fausta Capaul in Brigels is thought to be the oldest guesthouse in the village. For this partial renovation, our goal was to preserve the history of the house while using the historic components to create contemporary spaces for this charming Boutique hotel. We renovated the entire attic and built three individual suites with private bathrooms and additional children’s rooms. We restored most of the existing furniture, by reusing and combining it with contemporary design. To keep the charming character of the house, we removed, renovated, and reinstalled all the plank floors. For the bathrooms, the Brigelser natural stone walls give it a matching finish. We renewed the lighting in the restaurant area and added a finishing touch with two beautiful oriental carpets. During the renovation, we even discovered a secret room, which is now the hotel bar, the small room served as the old village store or “stizun”. The ladies' guest-toilet is now a real treasure to behold as we used the theme of gemstone hunting, a century-old tradition in the valley, to create a flashy backdrop for the washbasin with beautiful, real crystals. The Fausta Capaul sparkles in a complete new splendor now.
